Description
A Coolmax base layer cut for wear under a plate carrier: flat shoulder seams where the straps sit, and a fabric that moves moisture instead of holding it. Coyote, olive and khaki. Coolmax is a polyester fibre with a four-channel cross-section rather than a round one. The channels draw sweat off the skin to the outer face of the fabric, where it evaporates, so the shirt stays dry in the heat and regulates body temperature noticeably better than cotton. The fabric is very light, does not cling to the body and does not hold odour. Care: wash cold without fabric softener, which clogs the fibre channels, and dry in the air.
