Stretchers

Roll-up evacuation stretchers with a reinforced flexible frame.

Savior evacuation stretchers from the Base line are made in Ukraine for carrying a casualty where a framed stretcher cannot go: a trench, a basement, a treeline, a staircase. Rolled up, the stretcher fits in a pack or straps to the outside of one. It comes in three colourways.

Construction

The bed is strong nylon, reinforced with webbing and sewn with reinforced thread. Nylon is light, hard-wearing and does not mind water: the stretcher does not get heavier in the rain or deteriorate in a pack. Flexible reinforced battens run along its length: they hold the shape while a casualty is dragged and still let the stretcher roll up. Handles run along both edges and there are large loops at the ends, so two, four or six people can carry it, and one can drag it.

How it is used

  • Dragging: one person pulls by the end loop over ground, snow or a floor, and the battens keep the bed from crumpling under the body.
  • Carrying: two or more people, by the side handles.
  • Moving someone from a vehicle to shelter or between floors, without the noise and bulk of a metal frame.
  • Evacuation under fire to a vehicle or a stabilisation point where a framed stretcher is waiting.

Why not a framed stretcher

A framed stretcher weighs several kilograms, does not roll up and does not get through tight spaces. The Savior weighs less, takes up little room rolled up and opens out in seconds. It does not replace the stretcher in a medical vehicle; it is what you have to hand in the first minutes.

Care and storage

Store it rolled up and dry, in a pack or strapped to one. After use, clean off the dirt, dry it, and check the seams and handles before the next time out.

Delivery and payment

Parcels ship from Ukraine with Ukrposhta or Nova Post Global. Import VAT, the customs levy and the broker fee are already in the price, so there is nothing to pay on delivery. Made in Ukraine, the stretchers enter the EU at 0% duty under the EU–Ukraine agreement, with an origin declaration on every invoice. The product page shows the delivery estimate and price for your country; standard delivery is free over €250. Pay by card at checkout, or by bank transfer on invoice. For a unit, a foundation or volunteers, ten items and up are priced directly: send the quantity through the Request a quote form.
